Wall Ball and L Pull-ups

Okay, So I am totally convinced that there are sociopathic mad scientists determining what the WOD should be at Crossfit.  Case in point: Yesterday heavy leg workout - high weights a few reps.  " Today lets make them use the same muscle group, lots of times, under light weights!"

WOD:
50 Wall ball shots, 20 pound
25 L Pull-ups
40 Wall ball shots, 20 pound
20 L Pull-ups
30 Wall ball shots, 20 pound
15 L Pull-ups
20 Wall ball shots, 20 pound
10 L Pull-ups

I did the pack scaling, save for the L Pull-ups and the 14 pound ball (Need to make my own since the gym doesn't have one):
40 Wall ball shots, 10 pound
18 Z Pull-ups - These wound up looking more like knees to elbows due to my lack of strength
30 Wall ball shots, 10 pound
15 Pull-ups
20 Wall ball shots, 10 pound
12 Pull-ups

My Time: 9' 39"

Thoughts:
This was brutal but necessary to workout the legs from yesterday.  I am going to be in pain over the next several days.  As my cell phone alerted me to the upcoming days work out, I couldn't help but think of the infamous Dorothy Parker line "What fresh hell is this?"
Congratulations to my wife who joined me on this one.

Lesson:
Don't try and you won't succeed.  Try and you may fail spectacularly.
