Rest Day

I am glad that I am not working out today.
But yesterdays WOD failure has got me thinking about the scaling I am using.

I keep using the pack scaling because it seems about right in general.
Expecting to be and working out through the soreness is part of the Crossfit program,  even the comments of people who are in a lot better shape than myself testify to this fact.

That said I have been quite sore since I began working out.
After days like yesterday, I am wondering if I am trying to force my body to do a little to much work.
Granted that the more work that is performed the better the gains, but I feel as if I am walking a tight rope and teetering between great conditioning and injury.  Maybe that is right where I need to be.

That said, I think that a few days of puppy scaling might be called for.
That way I can continue to workout, and gauge the amount of work that my body puts in to see if that is still pushing my body enough.  If the puppy workouts are giving me plenty of trouble, then I may need to stay there for a while and make sure I get the base strength set for future progression.
