Prescribed WOD as many reps as possible:
10 minutes of Handstand Push-ups
5 minutes of Squats
2 minutes of Pull-ups
1 minute of Push-ups
My results:
HSPU (feet elevated on lifting crossbar) - 48
(was trying to break 50)
Squats - 98 (was trying to break 100)
Pull-ups - 11
Push-ups - 15
Total: 172 Reps
Thoughts:
Okay. So my legs are still incredibly sore from the previous work-outs. Close to locking-up but still manageable. It is nice to have an upper-body focused workout, although the 5 mins of squats were brutal. The Pull-ups could have been much higher, however, starting with my first one, I had intense stabbing pain that ran through the right side of my abdomen. I pushed through for the 11, I also had to pull of a callous during the 2 minutes. As far as the abdomen I am glad I have a rest day tomorrow. I will have to keep a close eye on it to see if it is injured. I hope not, Having to rest and let it heal would impact the progress I am getting out of making a routine of working-out.
Lesson:
The human body can tolerate almost anything for a short period of time. But that isn't Endurance. Is it?
